During the second wave of Covid-19, I led an initiative as the president of one of the largest student organizations at MSU. To make our work more efficient and avoid forgetting tasks, I created a bot on the texting app we were using. This bot, called "Remind-Me Bot", was more efficient than any other similar bots available at the time.
Managing tasks with a separate reminder app can be inconvenient, especially for Discord users who want to stay on top of their tasks within their chat.
Solution:To address this problem, I made a Discord bot that allows users to add tasks and set due dates, and reminders directly within their servers. The bot leverages SQL to store task data and has received over 500 calls within 3 months, indicating its potential value to users.
By sending messages as a normal user, the bot creates a personalized notification that helps users stay engaged and attentive.
